Filipino American History Month in Brevard County

October, 2015 has been designated as Filipino American History Month in Brevard County. At the Brevard County Commissioners regular meeting on September 1, 2015, a resolution was passed proclaiming October 2015 as Filipino American History
Month in Brevard County, Florida.

The resolution was sponsored by District 1 Chair Commissioner Robin Fisher. Commissioner Fisher posted this message on the Filipino-American Association of Brevard County (FAABCO) Facebook page:

It was my distinct honor to sponsor a resolution recognizing October 2015 as FILIPINO AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH in Brevard County this morning at the Brevard Board of County Commissioners meeting. Celebrating that we are all more alike than we realize!

Much thanks to both Commission Fisher, and our own “Ambassador-at-Large” Romie Dela Paz for making this resolution a reality. All Filipino-Americans can take great pride in this recognition.
